Jalp

A jalp is a pushy bum who hassles you for money or squares. The jalp usually uses three methods, outright demanding money, using a bunk story about some absurd misfortune to cover up the fact that they're going to use the money for booze/crack, or trying to sell you some stolen goods/drugs/secondhand porn for money.

"Hey man, I was just on the northside and ten mothas jumped me and hit me with a pipe and then my mom died and then my car broke down, can I have twenty dollars? I'll pay you back next week when I get my inheritance."

"Get out of here, you jalp!"

"Wanna buy an Ipod? Twenty dollas"

"Okay"

Jalping

Jalping is the act of approaching stranger and begging for money/a square/crack/etc. The demand for capital is often accompanied by some bunk story about how they got jumped by ten homies on the North Side, one of their relatives catching the bubonic plague and needing money, or how they need gas to get to the next big town.

"Hey man, let me tell you a story man. My brother and I were delivering cupcakes to the Orphans when we saw a vet clinic on fire so we ran in on down there and saved all the kittens but my brother died and the cupcakes burned man. I was wondering if you could give me $1.25 so I can gets some more cupcakes man."

"Get out of here man, you're just jalping"

Jalpa

an awsome place in Jalisco Mexico, full of awsome people, during december come to the posadas and during January we have the Fiestas Patronales, they usually begin on the fifth and end on the 10th but the main day is on the 8th of january.

Jalpa is better than any ranch around.
