Fly Rail

In Theatre, the long line of handles and ropes, typically Stage Right or Left in the Upstage wingspace of a Theatre. The ropes- "purchase lines," control the up and down travel of scenery, lights, effects and equipment suspended in the air by a system of pulleys, cables, pipes, and counterweights.
This is where the Techies can be found during a Run Week, when on standby.
Actor1:"Who's that guy in all black dancing like a stripper on those big rope-things?"
Actor2:"The Techie? That's Seth. He operates the Fly Rail."
