Coldwave

Funnily enough, the name of two different genres:

French coldwave: a sort of proto-goth rock sound that developed in the late 70s.

American coldwave: guitar-driven electro/industrial music that enjoyed brief popularity in the early 90s.

To fans of both genres (author included), watching people get pissy about the difference can be very entertaining indeed.
French goth: mon amis, i hear you like ze coldwave?
US rivet head: yeah, bro, totally! just bought the new 16volt album, shit was SO cash...
French goth: qu'est-ce que c'est, 16volt? do you like trisomie 21?
US rivet head: who's that? have they remixed any Chemlab tracks?

Coldwater

A hick town in southern Michigan. Knows best for their corn fields and meth labs. On any given weekend you're sure to find a bunch of coked up local drunks hanging out a shitty bar called 'Sirens' or in the parking lot of a Taco Bell Restaurant. Or the cool thing to really do is walk around Walmart and act cool.

And like its neighbor city in Ohio, the majority of the people born there will remain there for the rest of their lives because to them, Coldwater is the only world worth living in.
"Hey, what is best thing to do in Coldwater?"

"I dunno, get high and walk around walmart?"

Coldwater Situation

When you make out with a guy you have a complicated relationship with and end up dubbing him for the rest of your life.

coldwater

A village of 1100 people in Ontario, Candada. 150 kms north of Toronto. Coldwater is known for awsome sod, hicks, bankrobberies, the dentist office being blown up when the methlab in the basement went arye, and Rivers the local watering hole. Also made infamous by a robbery spree carried out by a local street hero known as "squirell" and his female aquaintance. They were deamed by the papers "The modern day Bonny and Clyde." ...unfortunatley these two fuck ups were so stupid and high they used a needle as a weapon to threaten the clerks of the 5 convienience stores they robbed without masks they we soon identified.
"You know where to score some weed?" "Sure just drive down the main drag in Coldwater and pump up the bass in your truck, a couple street rats should pop out of the alley".

Coldwater

A small town in Ohio known for its drinking and lack of class. People that live in Coldwater consider Wal-Mart a mall and McDonalds a fine restaurant to take a date to. They are extremely ignorant, racist, and have a strong inability to comprehend what is going on in the rest of the world. The majority of the people born there will remain there for the rest of their lives because to them, Coldwater is the only world worth living in.

God Shot

A chance happening with profound meaning, an unexpected blessing, a "sign".
Dr. Drew on Celebrity Rehab said "All of a sudden what had been just another Hollywood proposal became for him an unexpected blessing, an opportunity for growth. In drug recovery language, that's called a "God shot."

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.
