Basically, having numerous conversations at once with the same person, like having a conversation on Facebook, Yahoo Instant Messenger and the phone--all with the same person. This usually occurs when you have absolutely nothing else to do.

Jack: So did you talk to Kelly last night?
Rick: Yeah, on the phone and facebook.
Jack: So you chatstalked her?

chainstalking

When you creep someone on social media, and end up creeping completely irrelevant people through clicking related profiles.

Jim: hey, did you see that picture that Amanda posted?
Colin: yeah! Some of her tagged friends were really hot so I kept creeping, and somehow ended up creeping her best friend's boyfriend's cousin's mother in law.
Jim: dude, you just full out chainstalked like 8 people deep.
Colin: don't act like you don't enjoy chainstalking.

Chatstanding

In a large corporate Zoom/Teams meeting, attendees with nothing to add to the conversation make up for it with banal, cheerleading and good vibes in the meeting chat to make sure they are seen.

Not sure why Bob was in that meeting, but boy was he chatstanding with his shallow words of encouragement and inappropriate memes.

stealthily following people who are walking through the carpark to their cars while driving your car. usually performed when desperate for a parking spot, so you'll follow anyone who looks like they're leaving.

"why are you following those people so closely?
"yo I'm carstalking that couple to their car so I can steal their parking spot."
