A twitter term defined on the 5th of March 2018, to describe someone who is NOTICABLY out of step with social and cultural changes, such as disapproving gay marriage as a legal standing, disapproving equal voting rights for women (seen in the film Suffragette by Director Sarah Gavron), and women in science who are #toosexyforthelab (typically a politician, ex-politician, academic or other figurehead who has become MISSING in action - thereby NOTICEABLY ABSENT - in celebrations of social change (such as Mardi Gras or Gay Marriage Celebrations) BECAUSE they refused to release their views about social or gender equality.
Noticeablyabsent: B Joyce and T Abbott were #noticeablyabsent from the Sydney Mardi Gras parade, haven fallen out of step with broader, modern viewpoints of human rights and relationship concepts."

** Update ** I sent through this definition late one night, and realised it needed a minor change (but did get approved). Any chance of changing it slightly as I got the other # wrong. It's #distractinglysexy (re Tim Hunt fiasco) or #toosexyforscience (not toosexyforthelab). It's about gender equality and marriage equality and other political issues, so no other changes, but it's the replacement of the lab # with #toosexyforscience instead (or #distractinglysexy which you should also have on hand - easily looked up re Tim Hunt). Thanks so much. Sorry about getting that one hashtag wrong. PLUS the "defined on 5 March 2018" should probably say "in common use" or something as that term has been around for some time, but with the equality movement gaining hold, it should be defined. And that's what I aimed for. Thanks if you can just update that hashtag that'd be great - April Mayb
#NoticeablyAbsent - When a politician, CEO, Academic or accused perpetrator of abuse is 'missing' at important events, such as cultural celebrations, hearings or media scrums, as they have fallen out of step with modern equality movements and evolutionary social views supported by a majority of the rest of the world. ** April MayB ** But the original sentence was better. That one should stay - this is just another example -- The only change to this is the hashtag and maybe the words "updated on 5th March 2018" to mean rather than "defined to mean" as it's been in colloquial use for some time.
