Core

What's not on the surface (skin color, hair color, eye color, height, weight, skills, and so on). Who someone really is (who they were growing up).
The core would be the part of the book that isnt the cover. It doesn't have to be open to contain information about someone.

Punching the Reactor Core

Deeply and vigorously penetrating the sphincter of a organism to the degree where it has lost the ability to function succesfully.
Police - "How did you escape for that petophile young man?"
Young Man - "I started punching the reactor core as hard as I could."

A person who appears normal on the outside—sometimes even charming—but beneath the surface is emotionally decayed, morally bankrupt, and entirely hollow. Often manipulative, selfish, and abusive, they wear the appearance of humanity but lack all the qualities that make someone truly human: empathy, accountability, and emotional depth.

Used to describe:

Narcissists

Emotional abusers

Pathological liars

People who destroy others while playing the victim
“He’ll smile in your face, cry on command, and then destroy your life while blaming you for bleeding. Classic rotting core in a human costume.”

“She acted like a supportive friend until the moment I crumbled—then used every secret I ever shared against me. That’s not a person. That’s a rotting core in a human costume.”

“He says all the right words about mental health and healing, but he doesn’t believe in either—he just wants control. He’s nothing but a rotting core in a human costume.”

"He volunteers at a soup kitchen, cheats on his wife, lies to his kids, and hasn’t worked in years—but still walks around like he’s the second coming. He’s not a man. He’s a rotting core in a human costume."

Soft-Core violence

Throwing passive aggressive attacks while visualizing and fantasying actual violence.
(eg. I want to punch this guys in the face, but instead, I’m just going to throw popcorn at his face.)
Sommer was thinking about punching Chris in the face all night, however the proper moment ever arose for it to be socially acceptable to inflict bodily harm into the poor victim. Sommer, having years of built up frustration, allowed herself to indulge in soft-core violence & intruding thoughts on inflicting bodily harm and spray popcorn on Chris’ face
