YIMBY stands for "Yes In My Back Yard", and is a person who has a build it at all costs mentality and no regard for heritage and public amenity. Often considered the 'useful idiots' of the property development industry, a YIMBY will often use social media to provide free astroturfing for the cause. The YIMBY is a polar opposite of a NIMBY.
There was a meeting of YIMBY's at the city council meeting. They want the historical post office demolished to build a new apartment tower.
