It's better to lose as yourself than change to win over a little pressure from somebody else as someone other than you were before you lost.

Losing one game, a few games, or even many games isn't worth trading your soul in for a winning team. Stay true to you and it isn't everything to win, just like losing games and loss doesn't make or break you. There's always going to be adversity, but losing a game isn't the same thing as the fall of a city or state to invaders because it's just a stupid fucking sport.

Instant Loss 2koma

Refers to a 2-panel comic or sequence where a character initially expresses overconfidence only to get defeated and/or humiliated. The term originated in the manga fandom, and while it has SFW origins the term is now mainly used within hentai and yiff communities, where it is often used in a pornographic context.
