Symboling

To engage in "symboling" is to go out of your way to make someone else look bad, usually through blatant lies, unnecessary cockblocking, or "dry snitching." It’s the act of creating a false, negative image of a person or a community to ruin their reputation or their chances in a social situation.

Target: "Hey shawty, let me hollar at you for a second?"

The Symboler: "Wait, bro... ain't you 26 and she's 16?"

Target: "Man, quit symboling! I’m 19 and you know it. Why you trying to make me look like a predator?"
