FOX 2

Fox 2 is a class of air-to-air missiles known as heat seeking. This means that the missile will track an aircraft's thermal signature or the heat of the engines to lock on and guide the missile to the aircraft. The are countermeasures to this for example a flare which is uses a shotgun shell like system to shoot out a flare like a flare gun except like 300 launchers. Another countermeasure is turning really sharply when the missile gets close.
