The act of continually maintaining connection by liking the Facebook statuses of an acquaintance.

Yeah man, I can't go out tonight, gotta do some Facebook acquaintenance so I can keep those sorta friendships alive.

Ecquaintance

Ecquaintance is a new word to describe meeting someone new over email, text, or another form of contact within the digital sphere where a live initial connection is, or was not possible or yet established. A digital acquaintance. It could also be written as e-cquaintance. It substitutes words such as e-meet, in frases such as "e-meet you" because the parties have not actually met yet and it better describes the relationship between the two parties

"I thoroughly enjoyed our ecquaintace"

"I'd like to set up an ecquaintance"

"I look forward to our ecquaintance"
