Bankophobia is a new term heavily used in Lebanon due to the collapse of the Lebanese banking system. Banks in Lebanon stopped allowing account owners from withdrawing there money due to lack of U.S Dollars ($).
According to the Lebanese Central Bank (BDL) its estimated that there is around 6 Billion Dollars hidden in Houses due to fear from banks.
