The act of looking for something and not seeing it when it is literally in front of your face.

Brie "I can't find my soccer gear".
Dad " What do you mean you can't find your crap ? It has to be there somewhere."

Brie (hysterical now) "Dad I don't see it anywhere!" (Sobbing)
Dad "Look harder"
Brie "oh, here it is"
Dad "Was it right in front of your face? You must have Anna looked."
