nice guys finish last

A phrase used by single men to explain their single status, usually in conversation with women, or in a personal ad. Often uttered in a whiny tone. (Actual niceness of the single man is largely irrelevant when using the term.)

When Julia turned him down for sex, Julio further justified her decision when he whined, "Nice guys finish last!"
