A house with generally more than two university or polytechnic students residing. Usually rather untidy (especially the kitchen and bathroom) and frequently empty cupboards and fridges.

Most student flats are also party flats, in which many students spend government money to get drunk each weekend.

There's a party at a student flat this weekend.

There's ALWAYS a party at a student flat.
