the sound a rabbit makes is refered to as 'pyon' in japan. It's also used to make sentences sound cute.

Rabbit: pyon pyon
Person:(to imitate the rabbit) pyon!

To sound cute:
shinn: so chiyo what are you going to eat for lunch?
chiyo: ahh...pyon pyon, i don't know..a salad?
