Slug 

An unreliable person who bails on social events with little or no communication, usually for no other reason than they are a lazy slug.

Joel is such a slug, he always bails on plans with the worst excuses such as "I am babysitting my 25-year-old sister" or blanks messages entirely when he is just sat at home jerking off into a sock.
