The phenomena of internally reacting to an experience/message which would prompt a visceral response if other people were present/ if the experience was shared. (laughing in your head because no one else is there) (the theory that facial expressions are largely performed/learned and humans threshold for humour is significantly higher than externally presented)

Reading Gus's text made me guzzle, when I read it aloud to Lulu I started to laugh out loud.
