a slut is a female that has no self-respect and will sleep with any guy just to sleep with him. Even if she doesn't want to, she will just for the attention. A slut usually dresses very trashy and doesnt have any class. A typical slut would sleep with her best friends boyfriend and not feel bad about it at all. This is not the type of person to become close with. Her reputation will follow you around as well.
