The act of staying at the emotional, romantic, or psychological edge of a situation—where tension, attraction, or conflict exists—without fully committing, resolving, or crossing the line. It involves consciously riding the intensity of the moment without letting it reach a conclusion.
Example 1:
We talk every day, flirt, fight, disappear… we’re just edge surfing at this point.
