REM 

To sleep in the same bed as someone but not get laid. This is a sure sign that you are on the fast track to "friendship".

Derived from "Rapid Eye Movement" which is the type of sleeping you were doing, i.e. not the copulating kind.

Not to be confused with "rim".

J: Did you pick up last night?
Q: I went home with this girl but only got REM.
J: Shit man, you are on the friend track. No sex for you.

A: What happened to him last night
C: I dunno, all he can say he has REM'ed with her.
A: Well that is a fail.
