Emo is not short for the term emotional in this sense.Emo kids want to be differnt and don't follow mainstream like most people. They strive to be differnt. It is a genre of music which has been around since the 1970s and is not a trend just coming in! They are mostly depresses and hate the world and everyone in it! But we need to stop giving them such a hard time and so much ridiule! I Love emos!

Emos look differnt to others and have a differnt taste in music.Thats why they are individiuals.
