Powercontinuity is the term used for any installed power protection system which automatically starts when a power outage occurs, thus providing Power Continuity.

Powercontinuity systems should comprise of a fully installed uninterruptible power supply ( sometimes known as a UPS system) and also a fully installed emergency power standby generator. Each of these is connected to an automatic mains transfer panel so that in the event of a sudden power outage the automatic mains transfer panel will seamlessly transfer the load to the Power Continuity system, which run for many hours or days , thus providing Power Continuity.

Powercontinuity can also be termed when a single UPS which protects a single piece of critical equipment, which will hold the power for a short time during a power cut and in that way the UPS will provide Power Continuity for a short time, usually minutes.
