Don't ask who Joe is. It's a joke friends make quite often. it starts like this: #1 The friend says something that includes joe #2 the friend asks who is joe #3 the friend says joe mama

Alex: "Hey dude Joe's party was awesome, why didn't you come?"

Michael: "Who is joe?"

Alex: "Joe Mama!"
