A bunch of obsessive psychopaths who do nothing but fangirl over their heroes on Twitter, stalk 5 (4 now) young men thinking in delusion that they'll actually meet 1D personally one day, and fight with other fans and everybody in the name of their heroes.

While the boyband itself just rakes in the cash.
