Abbreviation of alternative facts. Lies or misleading statements asserted as fact. Alt-facts specifically as found on or working with alternative right or alt-right sources posing as news, in order to intentionally debase rational discussion and falsely bend arguments to a far right-leaning political world view.

"He yelled out some Alt-Facts from Breitbart saying climate change is a Chinese hoax".
