(Genre) Music claiming to be rock that is similar in sound to the poser band Nickelback.

Some examples: Nickelback, Creed, Theory of a Deadman, Hinder, Chris Daughtry, Shinedown.

Person 1: "OMG! Theory of a Deadman is the best band everrrrr!"

Person 2: Fail.. that's Nickel Rock..
