A winter weather phenomenon in which _your_ particular ski area / region is 'SKIPPED' with regularity, while neighboring areas / regions get 'POUNDED', ... or even just slightly favored ( the bastards ).

preSKIPitation:

Crested Butte, Colorado gets 36 inches.

Telluride, Colorado gets 3.6 inches.
