"Bullying-style" is to words what "assault-style" is to guns. First documented in a seminal article by Hans Johnson on Huffpo, bullying-style words are often wielded by ultra-conservatives. And just like assault-style weapons, they are NOT necessarily protected by the Bill of Rights. Bullying-style speech is different and more suble than hate speech, which already can be considered a crime.

Diligent journalists everywhere are beginning to realize that bullying-style words should be identified as such in news stories, just as is done with assault-style guns.
