A term of endearment in Turkish, literally meaning "honeycomb" (bal = honey, petek = honeycomb). It is used as an affectionate nickname to describe someone who is as sweet and precious as honey. Used primarily by parents to express deep & unconditional love for their children. Coined by Taner Altunışık in April 2006.
