to go to waste. to be thrown out. to worsen from the beginning onwards. based upon the idea that when food went bad, it was fed to the dogs, as they were thought to be inferior. a better version is "went to the bombs."

originality

individuality, creativity, uniquosity, independence... originality is not making decisions based on brand names and popular votes, is free of labels and generalizations. ironically originality has now become idolized, so it's a trend to be untrendy.

"punk" and "indie" becoming trendy.
