Meant to be a diminutive of "pig", it is a familiar way of referring to a person who takes less care than they should of their personal hygiene, although we love them anyway.

Not to be confused with the proper diminutive "piglet".

A - Are you going to have a shower before visiting our friends?
B - No, I already had a shower the day before yesterday!
