In the context of the transgender community,

a.-) An individual who is really strongly questioning their gender identity, as in, a person who is having intense and persistent doubts about their gender and reconsidering their identity however still latching loosely onto the label of cisgender out of confusion or of denial caused by internalized shame.
b.-) a trans person who has recently figured out their gender or is very early in transition.
