Company Mushroom

Someone who works silently without much contact to the outside world. This person is usually only seen when they are handed new work and never informed of anything happening in the company.

Jim: Lately I've been the company mushroom.
Sue: What does that mean?
Jim: They feed me in the dark and feed me shit all day.
