Emile is a word derived from the Latin surname Aemilius, one of the most influential Patrician families in the Roman Empire. The families at the time were ugly and fat as they were part of the ruling class nobility often lazy looking down on peasants and lower-class individuals (this was generally inspired by the works of Marxism). The word overall derives from the general hypocrisy humans give to other people and to this day has become a colloquial term used in many Rural European countries.
