A way to say you are acceptable and happy with the outcome of circumstances in a situation. Aslo a good way to use "word" is "word to your mother" which would mean thanks tell your mom i said hi too.
After jimmy grew 4lbs of marijaunna for Sally she shook his hand and said "word" the whole time smiling because she she was getting the weed for free but could sell it for millions of doll hairs!
