Tribon

The word 'Tribon' comes from the Latin word 'tribuo' (which means to try) and it means some who tries or thinks they are good at something, when in reality they are very bad at it,

For example: Someone buys themself some very expensive football/soccer boots because htey think they are on a high level.
This word could be an insult to offend someone.
"Oh yeah that guy, he is very big tribon, he bought himself a pair of Jordans and he thinks he can play Baskeball, he cant even bounce the ball!"
