You caught the bug

If someone acquainted with you end up doing/saying something similar to what you have done in the near past, then they have "caught the bug". Similar to when someone is sick and they catch the same vibes as you had before.

"I ended up going on a long rant like you did the other day."
"Oh. Guess you caught the bug."
