Schwabian

Schwabian (adjective) derives from "Klaus Schwab". Founder and Former Executive Chairman of the "World Economic Forum".

It is a sub-genre of Dystopian novels that is heavily influenced by Orwellian writing.

Schwabian dystopias are more defined by it's setting being in the 21st Century (2000s - 2090s). Though most Schwabian dystopian settings are only set in the 2020s or 2030s.

Characteristics of a "Schwabian" dystopia usually (but not limited to or specifically) include the following:
- One World Government (Or a totalitarian control of Continental Europe)
- Near complete abolishment of self-identity.
- Complete abolishment of national Identity in favor of a global identity, replaced by only "humans".
- Open borders for all humans.
- Abolishment of Private Property to "increase" happiness.
- The only source of available food is protein bars made from insects.
- Integration of technology into every facet of daily life. (I.E., Control chips inside your wrist or Metaverse Goggles)
- Banned public and private displays of any emotions other than "happiness".

Media:
The most popular form of media that has featured Schwabian writing is a mod called "The Fire Rises" from the hit grand strategy game "Hearts of Iron 4".
Schwabian dystopian stories have breathed new life into the totalitarian dystopian genre.
