Pulse (n.) — a genre built on the tension between the human and the machine, where every song is anchored to the tempo of a real, recorded natural sound — rain, heartbeat, waves, wind, footsteps — felt underneath the mix and revealed unprocessed at the track’s start or end. Live-sung vocals and swinging, breathing instrumentation move against a hypnotic electronic current, so the tempo is never locked to a grid but rises and settles the way a living pulse does. Pulse is Pulse because something real is always breathing underneath it — the machine and the human are never the only things you hear.
I am a musical artist, I make music in the genre of pulse.
