Demisexual means that you need to have a romantic connection to someone to have sexual feeling for them unlike what most people think (which is that they don’t date for body’s but still have sexual relations with strangers)

Demisexual: oh I don’t do hookups I’m demi
Person: doesn’t that mean you just don’t do them with someone you have a romantic connection with?
Demisexual: no it means that I only have sexual feelings towards people I have a romantic relationship with
