Literal: Occurs when programmers forget to do their laundry and can't leave the house in time for important tasks, like work.

Connotative: Any "created" emergency that could be avoided, by planning ahead...or marriage.

Chase is late again... pants emergency.

brittle code

Literal: Any code too fragile to withstand upgrades or changes without self-destructing

Connotative: A person or situtation likely to spin out of control if the slightest thing goes wrong.

This portal was written with really brittle code.

If Chase has one more pants emergency, I think Jeanne is going to go brittle code!
