The formal ceremony where pirates are presented with a wooden leg following an amputation. Wooden legs offer pirates mobility at the cost of reduced speed and a pronounced limp. It is a pure coincidence that the definition is shared with pirates that have been pegged in their booty with the aid of a removable peg leg.
