Originally a character from “Made in Abyss” who is a Narehate: deformed human because of 6th layer of hell curse; Looks like animal and human.

Now is used as a term for VRChat furries who want to be part human, part animal as a cute term.

Guy 1: Woah what is that?
Guy 2: Oh that’s a Nanachi... VRChat furry.

VRC Furry 1: rawr i’m a nanachi *Begins to growl*
VRCFurry 2: uwu THATS so cuteee I love ur fwuffy ears!
