Were besties/best friends right?

If they say this to you or someone, most of the time they don't actually mean it. They are just mocking you for lacking friends. This is commonly used by popular kids who thinks too highly of themselves thinking they are kings in a nonexistent hierarchy.
Popular kid: "Were besties/best friends right?"
"Weird" kid: If you want to be friends then sure...?
Popular kid and their friends: *Starts laughing*
