A calming micro-ritual where one softly manipulates paper or textured materials between the fingertips — especially near the nails — to soothe anxiety, boredom, or enhance focus.
A blend of the Norwegian stillhet (quiet), fing (finger), and Pitt, this neologism was coined by Seipytt to name a gentle, tactile self-regulation practice rooted in serenity.
