1. The act of aggressively defending a typo with your life, to the point of trying to wager money on it, only to realize the word actually does not exist.

2. Acting completely confident that a misspelled word is correct and blaming anything but your own incompetence.

Dan kept commincating, insisting that "birb" was a word instead of admitting he misspelled "bird."
