A South-Africanism of the word hectic.
Possible origin: the Afrikaans word for "sweet" is "lekker" as in "lekker my broer" meaning "sweet my brother"

-Dude, did you check (see) that the new iPhone is being recalled?
-"whaaat? That's so hekkers bru!"
