Schrodinger’s Insult
When a person spouts an intentionally mean and offensive comment, yet decides whether they intended it to be an insult, based on how well the recipient handles it.
Person 1: “You’re so fucking ugly.”
Person 2: “Hey that really hurt my feelings.”
Person 1: “I was just kidding, obviously.”
Person 2: “Well, that was quite the Schrodinger’s Insult.”
Person 2: “Hey that really hurt my feelings.”
