Wasn't Even Gonna Lie is a term used to introduce a statement that is shockingly honest, unhinged, or reveals a personal fail that nobody asked for. It is the upgraded, more aggressive version of "ngl" (not gonna lie), implying that the truth was so intense there was zero chance of a cover-up.
